Continuing its tradition of welcoming newly admitted students, the Department of Architecture at AIUB organized a Reception Program for Freshers on August 27, 2026, at the Multipurpose Hall, Annex 7, AIUB. The event provided an opportunity for the new students to become acquainted with the department’s academic community and to celebrate the beginning of their journey in Architecture. The program was graced by the presence of   M. Arefeen Ibrahim, Head of the Department of Architecture. The cultural segment of the program was organized by the second and third-year students of the Department of Architecture and coordinated by the faculty members, Nushrat-E-Hoque and Fatema Nur Sumaita.

Faculty members and students from various batches attended the program with great enthusiasm and participated wholeheartedly in the celebration. The senior students warmly welcomed the freshers and extended their best wishes as they became an integral part of the Architecture community. In his inaugural address, M. Arefeen Ibrahim expressed his sincere appreciation to the faculty members, students, organizers, and performers for their dedicated efforts and enthusiastic participation. He also conveyed his best wishes to the newly admitted students as they embarked on their academic journey at AIUB.

The program featured an engaging and diverse range of cultural performances, reflecting the creativity and artistic talents of the Architecture students. The audience enjoyed captivating presentations of songs, dance, poetry recitations, and a stage play, creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere throughout the event. The event concluded with warm greetings and best wishes for the freshers, followed by light refreshments. The Department of Architecture expresses its sincere gratitude to the AIUB authorities, faculty members, student organizers, and performers for their valuable support, commitment, and collective efforts in making the Reception Program a successful and memorable occasion.
